Informed Funding |
The Informed Funding business launched on the 26th February 2015 with an official event that formally marked the arrival of an exciting new business model aimed at connecting growing businesses to alternative sources of finance.

Informed Funding is the brainchild of chartered accountant and founder of Knowledge Peers, Chris Dines. He comments, "I've witnessed first hand the challenges new businesses face when raising finance and I was inspired to create a business that provides a structured, independent and self-educating route for business owners to find the type of finance and supplier that matches the needs of their business. Informed Funding offers a simple and effective bridge to the UK's largest collection of finance providers online."

With over 70 funding providers now having joined Informed Funding's network, despite it's fledgling status, the business can already claim the top spot for offering the largest choice of business funding options in the UK.

By the end of March, the business aims to have 100 funders on board, which would be double that of their nearest competitor.

Part of this success is likely attributed to the fact that Informed Funding does not charge brokerage fees, making them a very attractive option to any business in need of finance, as they can easily connect with different sources of finance without added expense.

With ambitious growth plans, Informed Funding plan to roll-out 150 managed microsites by the end of June, and 400 by the end of 2015, offering a truly enhanced network of funding providers available at a SME's fingertips.

Now only one month on since launching at the Metal Box Factory in on the 26th of February, the Informed Funding event hosted 350 attendees, who were able to access over 24 presentations, 17 trade stands and 24 business clinics about funding.

The comprehensive event included a question time session with an expert panel including leaders from banks such as NatWest, Barclays and Metrobank and also alternative funding platforms such as RateSetter, Market Invoice, Angels Den, Asset Match, Rebuilding Society, Lendinvest, ThinCats, Crowdcube and Money & Co.

The panellists engaged in a lively debate discussing how alternative funding platforms are delivering finance solutions tailored to a businesses type, their stage of growth and development.

A post event survey saw 89% of attendees rate the event as excellent to very good. CEO and founder of Informed Funding, Chris Dines said, "I am delighted at the positive feedback we have had following our recent launch event at the Metal Box Factory and I would like to personally thank all the presenters and facilitators that contributed to the day. For those that were not able to make the event, we plan to host another large funding fair in September, so keep an eye on our website for updates."

Dines further comments "We are firmly focused on providing businesses with a breadth of information and the direct contact they need to raise finance for their growing businesses."
