Informed Funding |
This coming Thursday we have a packed day of seminars, workshops, talks and networking at our biannual Funding Fair. As a cycling fanatic, there’s one session that I’m particularly looking forward to, and that’s an interview session with Lorne Vary, the CFO of .
My middle aged passion is not the only reason for my interest. I also think that Brompton represent such a brilliant (British!) business case study. They have a fantastic product, designed and built here in the UK, yes BUILT here in expensive old ! They are now the UK’s biggest Bicycle manufacture, and are now investing in major new premises in the west of our Capital City.
I’ve chatted to Lorne who has been a key player in Brompton’s continued development in recent years, and this Thursday he will be giving the lowdown on Brompton’s success, not least from the financial angle. Brompton seems to be a company that has every stakeholder aligned for the long term, and that’s some achievement.
Turning back to cycling, I had the pleasure of acquiring and testing a brand new Brompton bike that you will have the chance to win if you are attending on Thursday. I was blown away by the design quality and smooth ride of such a compact piece of equipment. Might be my next Christmas present!
If you have not booked to attend the Funding Fair, make sure you do before Thursday. You can find out more, and book your spot, at THIS LINK.
