Investors back products and processes that they believe will have a high chance of generating cash. To attract investment, it can be essential for the business to demonstrate the value of the IP involved and that it can be “protected” – not least so that others can’t copy it!

 

We are delighted that David Hopkins from the Intellectual Property Office will be with us all day, and will be happy to take questions and provide guidance on where you can find the necessary support and advice – just say hello to him at the IPO stand. David will also be on the panel for our Intellectual Property Seminar. This is being chaired by David Seall who is Chairman of the IoD in the South East of England, Christopher Baker-Brian (founder of BBOX), Rosie Burbridge (IP lawyer with Fox Williams) and Michael Jewell (Corporate Financier with Cavendish CF).

 

The focus of the panel will be on “getting your IP story right” when looking for investment – and there will be plenty of opportunity for Q&A, either during the session or afterwards over drinks and canapes.
