Alternative Funding Network |

The past four years has seen “Alternative Funding” emerge as a distinct alternative to traditional sources of SME finance. From close to zero, a new wave of platforms and products have sourced over £1bn of debt and £0.25bn of equity for UK SME’s, and the numbers are still growing very rapidly. A mix of fresh approaches, disruptive technology and enthusiastic backers has led to well over 200 players in this market – in two broad areas, P2P and Crowd Equity.
The question is, what's next? Even with continued rapid growth there is a general consensus that the market will see some “sorting out” – the profile and mix of platforms and products will change as the market starts to mature and focus on sustainable models. The key challenge for Funders is how to achieve sustainability?
This seminar, chaired by Andy Davis, will include a panel of Directors from different Funders in the market place. The discussions will help attendees think about the likely profile of platforms and products that will succeed long term in this competitive market. Who will be the winners and losers?
Featured Panel:
' Campaign Director, Frank Webster
Head of Communications, John Battersby
Research Director, Daniel Kiernan
