This Informed Funding Seminar will give you the opportunity to better understand how to find, close and retain Angel Finance. It consists of a morning of 1:1 Finance and Funding Strategy consultations, an afternoon of workshops delivered in small groups, followed by an evening of informed discussion and networking. A chance to meet a range of experienced Angel Investors and Specialists. Wine and Canapes will be available in the evening.

Managed within small private groups, learn from leading organisers of Angel Finance and Financial Experts, listen to the experience of others, test out your own ideas and get input on how best to find and/or retain private investment. You can expect to come away with an initial action plan and a series of follow up steps, covering:
- Testing readiness for Investment.
- Identifying Angels and making the right approaches.
- Securing finance – valuation, terms, dilution, negotiation.
- Getting the mix of Angel finance and other finance right.
- Working with your Angel Investors – shareholder agreements, managing expectations, information flow and more.
- Subsequent funding rounds and fluctuating valuation.
- Dealing with missed expectations.
There will be short break out sessions during which refreshments will be available. We hope that all Workshop delegates will take the opportunity to join the Evening Seminar.

David Awad-Clark is the company’s Legal & Finance Director. Prior to joining the management team in 2013, Dave worked as a commercial IT & IP lawyer with an international law firm and spent a short stint with the legal team at Amazon.co.uk. Dave manages the Finance, HR and Legal functions of the business giving Alex free rein with Product, Process and IT. Jewellerybox Ltd is an online retailer of fine jewellery, the company was founded by entrepreneur Alex McMillan in 2008. Currently in a fast-growth stage, annual revenue has almost quadrupled to £2.1m from £565k 4 years ago.
